National Parks of the world - Bryce Canyon

Image
Located in the state of Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park , established in 1928, is home to the greatest concentration of hoodoos. A hoodoo is a tall and thin natural tower made up of rocks cause by erosion. It is quite a popular destination due to the fact that it is relatively close to one of the most popular National Parks of the world, Zion. The main attractions are the hiking trials with astonishing views of the red and orange rocks. It attracts families with children and/or older people because the paths are flat and easy to explore. Another great attraction is horseback riding, camping and also skiing/snowboarding during the winter. A great thing to do when you don’t have a lot of energy is the scenic drive which consists of many viewpoints. From what I experienced and leaned today I recommend this breathtaking place more that I would recommend the Grand Canyon.   Sources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjVBtjT4hdo https://www.visitutah.com/places-to-go/parks-outdoors/bryce-...

National Parks of the world - Galapagos

Image
Galapagos National Park was formed on July 4, 1959 in order to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Charles Darwin’s book about evolution. The park is located on the Ecuador Islands in South America. The thing that attracts all tourists is not only the diversity of animal species but also that they are very unique and can’t be find elsewhere in the wild. It is home to a ton of reptiles including the giant tortoise and many lizards. There are a lot of animals to discover but in my opinion the most interesting are seals, penguins, and mockingbirds.   To protect this beauty all visitors must be accompanied by a guide at all times. Some areas of the park are closed off to the public so that they won’t be invaded. You can say that this place is a historical textbook. One can explore how animals evolved without humans’ impact. This place is just magical.       Sources: http://areasprotegidas.ambiente.gob.ec/en/areas-protegidas/galapagos-national-park https://www.galapago...

National Parks of the world - Masada

Image
The Masada plateau is located 490 meters above the dead sea in Egypt. There is a trial leading to the top. If you are feeling lazy or just physically unable to get up there you can use the cable carts. On the top awaits ruins of an ancient fortress ready to be explored. Travelers are equipped with brochures that include a map and some historical events associated with the place. Travelers should remember to bring something to drink because the climate in Egypt is very hot and humid. Unfortunately, visitors are forbidden to eat and carry backpacks due to safety reasons. The Masada national park is a great place to experience new traditions and ancient architecture.  source: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/israel-and-the-palestinian-territories/dead-sea/masada/attractions/masada-national-park/a/poi-sig/1445482/361041

National Parks of the world - Banff

Image
Established in 1885 in Alberta, Canada Banff is the first national park of this country. A hot spring discovered by rail road workers is the reason why this park was formed. The park is rich in hiking trials with fabulous views of the Rocky Mountains. Another great attraction is the Rocky Mountain Raft Tours. In winter you can ski or snowboard in the beautiful mountains of Canada. If you are not an active person you can also experience Banff Upper Hot Springs where you can sink in hot water pools or attend a spa. Another great thing to do that doesn’t require a lot of physical activity is the Banff Springs Golf Club. So to summarize if you like beautiful mountains and valleys visiting the Banff National Park should be included in your bucket list.     source: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/travel/parks/banff-canada-park/
