27.04.2021 - Karen Garner

Karen Garner is a 73-year-old woman, suffering from dementia and sensory aphasia. Recently she was brutally arrested after leaving a Walmart without paying around 13 dollars for the things she was intending to buy. The body cam footage of the arresting cop, Austin Hopp, has been recently released and is being reviewed. Watching the video, we can see Austin pushing the old lady to the ground and bending her arm around her back. In a result, her arm got fractured and her shoulder got dislocated. In my opinion this is a perfect example of cop brutality. What is she going to do? Hurt him? She is an old woman. I think Hopp and the cheering him on police officers we can hear in the background should be fairly punished for their actions. Even though, a lot of situations like this exist, police brutality is often exaggerated and people don’t see the cop’s perspective. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/apr/27/colorado-walmart-karen-garner-loveland-police-arrest

21.04.2021 - missing submarine

Recently an Indonesian navy submarine has gone missing around the  northern  part of Bali.   Boarded by 53 soldiers this vessel missed a scheduled report call during training and is now reported a s lost.  In result,  Indonesian's  military chief  deployed ships that are supposed to search the  area .    To  deal with a possible sinking of the submarine,  they have asked Singapore and Australia for help.  Both  countries own their ow submarine rescue vessels.   In my opinion this situation might cause some problems. For instance, if it turns out that   a  nation had something to do with this disappearance.    Some helicopters spotted oil spills around the place where the vessel was last heard from. Unfortunately, this means that the submarine  was damaged, and the crew is under a huge threat.  All we can do is wait for the best and see if  it will be located by the searchin...

13.04,2021 - Bitcoin

The well-known crypto currency called bitcoin is gaining popularity and its value is getting higher and higher every day. Recently it peaked to the highest ever recorded value of 63 thousand US dollars. It has risen 450% during the last six months. To put things into perspective bitcoin was worth roughly 7 thousand US dollars in April 2020. One of the main reasons why it sky rocketed so fast might just be the fact that Elon Musk, CEO and founder of Tesla, has announced that his firm has bought 1.5 billion US dollars in bitcoin. In my opinion this is a great opportunity for investors. A lot of people are going from poor to rich. However, there are groups of people saying that earning tons of money from investing and mining crypto currency is wrong and cheating. I totally disagree with these people because I think that investing requires a high level of knowledge and a lot of time.
