National Parks of the World

The Serengeti National Park is 1.5 million hectares of Savannah located in Tanzania. What makes this park stand out is the enormous annual migration of beautiful animals (wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, black rhinoceros, wild dogs, elephants, cheetahs and much more) to the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. The park is known to be the biggest Serengeti ecosystem, and it is absolutely intact, which means there are no fences or walls to stop the migration of animals.

A threat to the park is that there is only one river flowing through the area (Mara). During dry seasons there is not enough surface water for all the animals. That is why there is a plan to extend the park to Lake Victoria. Another danger are hunters that kill the animals illegally.

You can also find a rich landscape which consists of grassland plains, hills, forests and granite outcrops rising from the dirt.
