National Parks of the world - Sequoia

Sequoia National Park, located in California, is home to the tallest trees in the world. The trees can reach heights as high as hundreds of feet’s. In 1890 the park was formed to prevent them from getting logged. Rooted in the park is the world’s greatest tree, the General Sherman Tree. It is 275 feet tall and its base is over 36 feet in diameter. Although the breath-taking trees seem to be the only attraction, they aren’t. Travelers are free to hike and explore caves found on the premises of the park. In my opinion a funny attraction worth visiting is the Tunnel Log. Some time ago a ginormous tree collapsed on a road and instead of trying to remove it they decided to drill a hole through it. Now it functions like any other ordinary tunnel and a perfect location for photos. Sequoia National Park is a great place to experience something extraordinary. Something that you can’t anywhere else.
